Caramel Restaurant & Lounge, Dubai-SEND FROM DUBAI FRENZ MOHD RAWOOB HASBI

At this international hotspot, you’ll witness a beautifully balanced combination of three common flavours:  sweet, sour and spicy.
Walking through the DIFC at night is inspirational, passing by the art galleries, various other clubs and restaurants.  The choice is wide.  My target was Caramel.  Slink, beautiful are but a few words to describe the crowd at Caramel.  The mood and ambiance can be described as festive:  People chatting, drinking, standing at the bar, while others are having dinner.
Dim lights, high and round tables, comfortable chairs, and natural wood only invite you to enjoy an evening at one of Dubai’s hippest places.  Caramel with its large terrace and nine private cabanas with the view of Dubai’s beautiful skylines make it a place to be and be seen. I was curious to check out the details as well as try the food many are talking about.  A touch of Las Vegas’ glamour, Caramel boasts a menu that’s rich with mouthwatering items.  It’s devised into petite plates, salads, grand plates and sides.

People around town recommend the Mac & Cheese or their signature Chicken Lollipops for starters.  For salads, the Chinese Chicken salad is a must.  The table next to us was expressing how awesomely yummy the fries are.  I liked their sparkling water, TAU.  This detail may be unimportant for some but as almost all restaurants serve San Pelligrino, drinking new fresh tasty water was a plus for me.

Chinese Chicken Salad:  It was a challenge between us at the table to find out all the details and try to and figure out all the ingredients, but no one could.  Some said the salad includes carrots while others mentioned cucumbers, but the fact is, the amazing taste comes from the combination of cashew nuts, lettuce, honey mustard dressing, chicken, with slices of Clementine and Soya shoots.

Caramel Veggie Roll:  What an invention.  Sweet as the name suggests, wrapped with sesame seeds.  A simple dish with four blocks of vegetables inside seaweed paper:  cucumber, mango, carrots and avocado.
The best thing about the food around here is that it’s special, and incomparable to any other restaurant in the region.  The ingredients mixed together are chosen so delicately creating a sensational mouth watering experience.

Petite Kobe Sliders:  I could eat this three times a day for a whole week.  Small mini burgers with a thick piece of medium juicy meat, pickles, tomatoes, dried onions and cheese.  All I can say is Mmm.  You must understand that it is so impressively tasty that I am out of words to best describe the taste.  The steak and cheese, is also presented in a special way.

A Worcestershire steak, smaller in width but longer and thicker than the normal steaks, cut into small sashimi bites, topped with small piece of butter.  I also had the chance to enjoy tasty creamy spinach for the first time in my life! At Caramel it is prepared without garlic.  Outstanding taste.  Wow! A choice between Spiced Apple Cobbler, Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée, Sorbet, Key Lime Pie, Dark Chocolate Fondant or Baked Alaska.  Extremely hard choice to make.  Heavenly!

LOVE GIFT HEHE...

WELCOME TO WAN WESTERN CENTRE

LETS GO VACATION

SKEWERS RESTAURANT AT SUBANG AVENUE

SKEWERS RESTAURANT AT SUBANG

We were greeted by the very friendly (almost to a fault) part owner of the restaurant, Ken Low, and the host promptly ordered some sangria for us while waiting for dinner to commence.

Spicy fish burger

Do note, since most dishes at Skewers are grill to order, food can take slightly longer to arrive compare to your normal place (like New Paris). A  little bit of a patience is usually needed for freshly prepared food.

The dish that impressed me most was, oddly enough, not a grilled dish, it was their spicy fish burger! Spicy, fresh tasting, and very refreshing, everyone should try it!

SEND BY FRENZ Jodie Phillips FROM Cardiff Bay

Chef Ramesh Limbu cooks halal burgers at the Grill 'n' Shake, Cardiff Bay
Chef Ram Limbu cooks halal burgers at the Grill ‘n’ Shake, Cardiff Bay
Wales’ diversifying population is being reflected in its food. For our Welsh Food Month series, Jodie Phillips looks at the rise of the halal market.
Our supermarket shelves and the things we buy from them sport many features today that would not have been evident to shoppers a decade ago.
The organic movement has soared, of course, and there has been a notable rise in people keen to know the provenance of their food, hence the photographs of individual farmers on our milk bottles and free range chickens.
And as Wales’ retailers and restaurants are responding to a changing marketplace, reflecting the country’s increasingly diverse and discerning consumers, also among these changes are the rise in the halal sections of supermarket aisles and the halal butchers on our high streets.
Halal is the term used to designate food seen as permissible according to Islamic law. To be defined as halal, the food must meet criteria set in the Koran, including the way the animal is slaughtered and thorough bled before it is eaten.
The global halal food market is said to be worth hundreds of billions of pounds and its presence in Wales is growing notably.
Among the restaurants serving halal-only food are the neighbouring Grill N Shake and Spice Route, both based in Cardiff Bay’s Red Dragon Centre.
Owner of Grill N Shake, Mabs Noor, said: “I recognised that Cardiff is extremely culturally diverse and felt that there was a gap in the market for a restaurant which offered classic American dishes but with an Islamic twist, which is provided by the halal meat.

THE HABIT BURGER GRILL

THE HABIT AMONG PEOPLE NOWADAYS MORE PREFER
TO GRILLED FOOD CAUSE OF HEALTH.....

Grilled burger more tastier because of the meat juice and marinate herb in the patty. Other than that, its more health because of low fat rather than cook with hot pan. The grilled aromatic and the homemade sauce will enhance the taste of the grilled burger.

DOA MUSIM HUJAN

Towards end of year nie biasanya angin monsun timur laut bermula. Sepatutnya, mereka yang berada dikawasan pantai timur akan mengalami musim bah, tapi sekarang, pantai barat pun sama gak kena angin monsun timur laut tu. hehehheeee.. KL hari-hari hujan. hari-hari mendung.

Rajin-rajin lah kita ye...
